SMETHPORT 35, CAMERON COUNTY 14




SMETHPORT – Clay Schuler scored three touchdowns on the ground in the final 8:39 to break a 14-all tie and give Smethport a 35-14 win over visiting Cameron County Friday night.
Schuler, who ran 21 times for 210 yards and four second-half touchdowns, broke the tie with a 1-yard dive and added scoring runs of 86 and 28 yards later in the quarter to seal the victory for Smethport (3-2 overall, 3-2 AML North) and was also 2-for-6 passing for 42 yards.
Tucker Britton had tied the game at 14 early in the fourth quarter on an 11-yard run.
Karl Lightner added a first-half touchdown run for Smethport and also had 15 tackles, while Ryan Stratton also had 15 stops on defense for the Hubbers.
Antonio Johnson had 20-yard touchdown run in the first half for Cameron County (0-5).
