Police nab Fleeing Suspect

Police Pursuit Updated 
Approximately 10am this morning, Austin Police Chief Kyle Day was alerted to a person that had fled the court house in Cameron County and advised that  PSP Cameron County, Sheriff Dept, and Emporium Police were in pursuit. 

Unfortunately the Actor; Jesse Coffman from Emporium fled pursuing police and was not located. 

Port Allegany Police, PSP Coudersrport and Austin Police were alerted that the suspect possibly headed in that direction. Description was a red Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Jess Coffman, 36 years old, wearing jeans and white tee-shirt. 

At 12:46pm, Austin Police Chief Kyle Day spotted the motorcycle coming through town. Day took chase and was able to apprehend Coffman on Rt. #872 at Dividing Ridge. Day was assisted by PSP Coudersport, Coudersport Borough Police and Sweden Township Police. 

Sheriff's from Cameron County came and took custody of Coffman and returned to Cameron County. It was advised that Coffman was later taken to Jefferson County Jail on probation violations, Potter and Elk County Jails were full. 

The motorcycle was towed by Kightlinger Motors. PSP Emporium and Austin Borough Police both report that charges are pending as the investigation is continuing.
