PORT ALLEGANY 41, CAMERON COUNTY 0

EMPORIUM – Port Allegany took to the ground for its scoring Friday night rushing for five touchdowns in a 41-0 win at Cameron County.

Matt Bodamer rushed for a pair of touchdowns and threw a touchdown for the Gators (8-0), who have won 13 straight regular-season games.

Bodamer ran 10 times for 67 yards including scoring runs of 15 and 2 yards. He was also 16 of 27 passing for 252 yards and the touchdown. Bodamer now has 9,440 yards passing and 121 touchdowns. He passed Brendan Nosovitch of Allentown Central Catholic to move into second place in Pennsylvania history for career yards. He is 312 yards shy of the Pennsylvania and District 9 record of 9,752 set by Brockway’s Derek Buganza. Bodamer has also rushed for 1,913 yards and 36 touchdowns in his four years at Port Allegany.

Trent Neal added a pair of touchdown runs for the Gators scoring on runs of 3 and 16 yards and rushing 11 times for 68 yards. Nick Conway caught a 19-yard touchdown pass and had five grabs for 96 yards with Tyce Miller catching nine passes for 127 yards.

The Port Allegany defense recorded its third shutout of the year, the most for the Gators since recording three in 1992. Port Allegany hasn’t had more than three shutouts in one year since recording seven during its perfect 10-0 season in 1986.

Cameron County was limited to 87 yards of offense and five first downs. Antonio Johnson led the Red Raiders with 34 yards rushing.
