DUKE CENTER – Otto-Eldred picked up its second straight win
while putting itself right in the thick of the District 9 Class A playoff race
with a 20-0 shutout of visiting Cameron County Friday night.
The Terrors (2-5 overall, 2-5 AML North) recorded their first
shutout since the 2008 season and their first win over Cameron County since
2004.
Dakota Vaughn had a rushing touchdown (5 yards) and a
throwing touchdown (2 yards to Coy Hoffman) and Sam Colebert added a rushing
touchdown (3 yards) for Otto-Eldred.
Vaughn ran 17 times for 87 yards and the score while going 4
of 13 passing for 66 yards and the score. Colebert ran 20 times for a game-high
111 yards and the score.
Otto-Eldred held Cameron County (1-6, 1-6) to 99 yards of
total offense while forcing three Red Raider turnovers.
