JOHNSONBURG – Cameron County rallied from a 7-0 deficit
entering the fourth quarter to get a 14-13 road win at Johnsonburg Friday
night.
The Red Raiders (2-7) scored twice late in the fourth quarter
to go ahead 14-7 with the go-ahead score coming on a 2-yard quarterback sneak by
Tucker Britton and a two-point conversion pass from Britton to Devin Mason.
But Johnsonburg (2-7) blocked a Cameron County punt with 1:30
to play and returned it for a touchdown to get within a point, 14-13. But the
Red Raiders stopped the conversion attempt and then recovered the ensuing
on-side kick to seal the victory.
Johnsonburg took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on a
Mitchell Holmberg 8-yard touchdown run before Cameron County scored its first
touchdown in the fourth quarter on a Britton 10-yard touchdown run. The PAT,
though, was no good.
