Retirees


IUE-CWA Local 88607 President Jim Clancy presented an appreciation watch to recent retiree Sonny Gummo. Sonny retired after 35 years of service at Motor Coils and plans on doing lots of fishing and spending time with his grandkids. Also retiring, but unavailable for photo, was Lori Buck. Lori retired after 31 years of service and was also given an appreciation watch.

Cameron County Heroes

EMPORIUM, CAMERON COUNTY - Andrew Zimmer of Emporium was shoveling snow when he noticed the apartment building across the street from his home was on fire. 
" Just then a girl came out with a small child said someone else was inside" he said. 
His neighbors, Scott Knarr, Ronald Hammersley, and off duty state trooper Brian Harmon each took turns trying to save 28 year old bed ridden Krista Losey. 
"You could only stand the smoke so long (and ) the ceiling kept dropping as far as the smoke" said Hammersley.

2012 QB Club Awards Banquet

The Red Raider Quarterback Club hosted the 2012 Football Awards Banquet on Sunday.

Three football players won awards for their efforts during the Lift-a-Thon in 2012. Lift-a-Thon is a fundraising effort coordinated by Coaches and the Quarterback Club to raise funds that help support Red Raider Football.

EISENHOWER 49, CAMERON COUNTY 12

EMPORIUM — Eisenhower’s John Pascuzzi broke the school record for career rushing yards in leading the Knights to a 49-12 rout of Cameron County Friday night.

Pascuzzi rushed for 143 yards on 21 carries and scored on runs of 5 and 25 yards in the first half that saw the Knight lead 29-6 by halftime. Alex Johnson needed just five carries to gain 110 yards, with much of it coming on his 94-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.

Aaron Lundmark passed for 182 yards and a touchdown as Eisenhower (8-2) outgained Cameron County, 564-274. The Red Raiders (2-8) scored on Tucker Britton’s 15-yard run in the second quarter and Britton’s 7-yard TD pass to Devin Mason in the third quarter.
